Removing Grass Stains

A common stain for anybody who has children, removing grass stains can prove difficult. If the clothing stained is dry cleanable only then it is best to seek the help of a professional & don't attempt the methods below.

It is always best to try & deal with stains as quickly as possible.

1) Isopropyl alcohol:

  • Blot the stain with water & then apply isopropyl alcohol & leave to dry. Before applying the isopropyl alcohol do a spot test in a discreet area first.

  • Repeat if necessary.

  • Wash as usual.

2) White vinegar:

  • Mix 50% water with 50% white vinegar. Apply to stain & rub it in.

  • Wash as usual.

3) Pre-laundry solution:

  • Treat the stain with a pre-laundry cleaner.

  • Wash as usual.

4) Digestive enzymes:

  • Digestive enzymes are available from your health food shop. To use, make a paste with water. Apply to the stain & leave for 1 hour.

  • Wash as usual.
