Roasting Chestnuts

Ingredients:
300g chestnuts. Salt
(optional).
Method:
-
Preheat oven to
200°C (430°F).
-
Place chestnuts on
a tea towel flat side down & carefully cut a
cross on the rounded side of the chestnut to
prevent them exploding in the oven.
-
Place in a shallow
pan & roast in the oven for 20-30 minutes until
the chestnuts have a skins begin to open.
-
Remove from oven &
wait until the chestnuts are cool enough to
peel.
-
Serve with salt if
desired.
