Buffalo Wings
Originating from
the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, there appear to be many
versions of this recipe.
These wings
are served with a blue cheese dip (see recipe
below) & sticks of celery.
Ingredients:
30
chicken wings
6 tablespoons hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)
4 tablespoons margarine
1 tablespoon white vinegar
1/8 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper
1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
1 dash black pepper
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
Method:

Cut off the
wing tip & discard. Chop the remainder of
the wing in half. Sprinkle with salt &
pepper.

Mix together
all ingredients on a low heat until
margarine is melted.

Either deep
fry (approx. 10-12 minutes) or bake (approx.
45 minutes) the chicken wings until cooked.
Drain well.

Pour sauce
over wings, coating well.

Serve with
sticks of celery & blue cheese dip.
Blue cheese dip:
Ingredients:
150g blue cheese 1/2 cup (125g) sour cream 1/2 cup (125g) mayonnaise 2 garlic cloves, crushed
