Chocolate brownies

Ingredients:

125g butter
-
125g dark chocolate, chopped
-
200g soft brown sugar
-
3 eggs, lightly beaten
-
50g plain flour
-
50g cocoa powder
-
1/4
teaspoon baking powder
-
150g walnuts
-
Small amount of butter to grease
-
Icing sugar (to dust)
Method:

Preheat oven to 180˚C.

Grease an 18 x 28 cm rectangular cake tin
and line with baking paper.

Place sugar, chocolate & butter into a glass
bowl, over a pan of simmering water & slowly
melt. Stirring constantly.

Remove from heat, beat in the eggs.

Add sifted flour, cocoa powder & baking
powder & mix.

Stir in the walnuts.
-
Pour mixture into cake tin. Bake for
approximately 20 minutes until the mixture
is set. Test with a fork.

Set aside to cool.
-
Dust with icing sugar, cut into rectangles &
serve.
