Tips & tricks for
perfect boiled eggs:
-
Eggs should be at room
temperature. Cold eggs from the fridge are more likely to crack.
-
Don't overcook the eggs.
If the shell sticks to the egg when you peel it, it has been cooked for
too long.
-
Use the smallest saucepan
possible to avoid the eggs rolling around in the pan & possibly
cracking.
-
If you plunge the boiled eggs
immediately into cold water (iced water is even better) will halt the
cooking process & cause the egg to shrink slightly, making it easier to
peel.
-
If you spin the egg once it's
been placed in the pan, it will help centre the yolk.
-
A teaspoon of vinegar added to
the water will help prevent the shell from cracking.
