How To Cook Pasta
Bring
a large pan of water to the boil. Plenty of
water is required to cook pasta to stop it
sticking together. boil.
Add 1 tablespoon of salt.
Once the water reaches a rolling boil add the
pasta, stirring occasionally to stop it sticking
together.
Cooking time depends on the type of pasta you
are using & the quantity. The packet should give
instructions on how long to cook for. Pasta
should be al dente (which means firm to the
tooth).
Once the pasta is cooked, drain immediately.
Don't rinse in water, this is not necessary. It
washes the starch off the pasta, which means the
pasta sauce won't stick to it.
Serve immediately with your chosen pasta sauce.
