Mould is a fungus that thrives in damp, humid
conditions. Not only is it unsightly, but it can
also cause allergies & respiratory problems,
especially in people with compromised immune
systems.
Removing mould from clothes:
The earlier you catch it the better. If left
untreated, the mould will eat into the fabric
causing it to disintegrate over time.
What you will need:

Before using this method, test in an unconscious
spot for colour fastness.

Take the garment outside & brush as much of
the mildew off as possible. Whenever dealing
with mould, always make sure you wear a
mask.

Make a paste with lemon juice & salt.

Rub onto stain.

Wash as usual.

Hang out to dry in the sun.
If this method doesn’t work, soaking in a mild
bleach solution may be necessary. Again, test
for colour fastness first.
If the item can not be washed, seek the advice
of a dry cleaner.
Preventing mould on clothes:

Always make sure clothes are thoroughly dry
before storing.
