Ripening
Avocados

Place the
unripe avocado in a brown paper bag for 2-3
days. Store at room temperature. Check the
avocado daily.

For
faster ripening, add an apple or banana to
the paper bag and seal. The fruit gives off
ethylene
gas which
speed up the ripening process.
Once ripened,
store in a refrigerator until needed.
How to check the ripeness of an avocado:
A ripe
avocado should feel slightly soft when gently
squeezed but it should not be soft.
