Tomato Pizza Sauce

Ingredients:

• 1 x 400g tin of crushed tomatoes.
• 1 small onion, finely chopped.
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed.
• 1 tablespoon of tomato puree.
• 3 basil leaves.
• 1 bay leaf.
• 2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil.
• Salt & pepper to taste.

 Method:

• Add all ingredients to a pan & bring to the boil. Reduce the heat & simmer for 1.5 hours.

• Remove from heat & allow to cool. Remove bay leaf.

• Add to pizza base.
