Most hardware stores sell products that can be
used to remove stickers & labels. But you can
try the methods below first.
Glass:
-
Soak glass in warm, soapy water for a few
hours, the label should easily peel off.
Acetone can be used to remove any glue
residue on the glass.
-
Use a hairdryer to melt the glue on the
sticker, making it easy to remove. If there
is any glue residue left, use acetone.
-
Hair conditioner liberally applied to the
label & left for 1-2 hours to soak in. Then
scrape the label off with a razor blade.
-
WD-40 can also be sprayed on the label &
left for 30 minutes. Scrape off.
-
Apply a liberal amount of peanut butter to
the label, leave for 12 hours & then remove.
The sticker should come away easily.
Many of these methods will leave a greasy
residue, this can be washed off.
Plastic:
-
Apply a liberal amount of cooking oil to the
label, leave on for 24 hours & then remove
the label.
-
Spray WD-40 onto the label, leave for 30
minutes, peel off.
-
Use a hairdryer on a medium setting, being
careful not to get too close to the plastic
or the heat may warp it out of shape. The
heat should be sufficient to melt the glue
on the sticker.
When using chemicals, always do so in a well
ventilated area.
