Roasted garlic

 roasted garlic

Ingredients:

1 head of garlic.
2-3 teaspoon olive oil.
Salt & pepper (optional).

Method:

  • Preheat oven to 400C.
  • Peel off the outer layer of skin covering the entire head of garlic leaving the inner skin that surrounds each individual clove.
  • Slice the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves.
  • Place on a piece of aluminum foil, drizzle with olive oil, season with salt & pepper if desired,  wrap up & place in oven.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes until the cloves are soft.
  • To serve, separate head into cloves & squeeze the bottom of the clove.

Uses:

  • Rub onto crusty bread or crackers.
  • Add to stocks, sauces & dips.
  • Squeeze into mashed potato.
